Digital Photography
We use digital photography routinely in our practice. We use a Nikon D70 digital SLR camera with a macro lens, point and ring flash to capture our images.. For each new patient, we take a series of images from a full face portrait view to a close up view of the biting surfaces of the upper and lower teeth. These images establish a baseline for each patient and are stored electronically. The images are invaluable in the treatment planning process as well as conveying information such as shade, contour, and proportions to our dental laboratories.
